A woman chose suicide due to resentment that she could not have children.
Hyderabad: A woman committed suicide last night within the confines of Keesara police station. In Srinivas Nagar Colony, Nagaram, she committed suicide by jumping from a double bedroom set up by the government upon receiving the information, the police rushed to the spot and she was rushed to Gandhi hospital for post-mortem.
The deceased was identified as K Satya Santoshini, 27, and her husband Pawan Bhagwan hails from Thukkuguda, it has been three years since their marriage. Reports suggest that she chose to end her life over not being able to have children even after attempting to have one several times over the past three years. A 28-year-old homemaker was found dead on the premises of double bedroom buildings constructed by the government for the poor at Nagaram under Keesara police station here on Sunday evening.
The victim, P Satya Santhoshi, an engineering graduate, ended her life by jumping from a building, allegedly due to harassment of husband and his parents for additional dowry, inspector J Narender Goud said. He said that the victim was in love with K Pawan Bhagvan, and they got married on March 8, 2018 with the acceptance of their parents. At the time of marriage, Santhoshi’s father Punyamurthula Tirupathi Raju gave ₹50,000 in cash and three tola gold as dowry. “A few days after the marriage, Pawan, his mother Kavuri Kameshwari and sister Sarada started harassing their daughter-in-law for additional dowry for investment purposes,” the officer said quoting the complaint copy.

Degree student rape case; 10 special police teams formed to trace culprits

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police have formed 10 special teams to apprehend the culprits allegedly involved rape of a degree student in Ghatkesar area.
On February 10,the youngster was allegedly kidnapped by the suspect from Nagaram around 6 pm while she was returning from college. Later, she was dragged into a nearby bush and was raped.
