SHEBOYGAN - It s been a year since Sheboygan County announced its first COVID-19 cases on March 13, 2020.
Since then, frontline workers have gone to great lengths to keep themselves and others safe, figured out how to do their work in challenging circumstances, and learned lessons they will use after the pandemic is over.
And for frontline workers new to their careers, the pandemic brought additional concerns, like heading into a changing job market and bringing the virus home to family members, like parents.
The Sheboygan Press talked to frontline workers in Sheboygan County who started their careers during or just before the pandemic, in industries from health care to food production. For many, the pandemic began when they were in school or training for careers they ve had their hearts set on for years.
