Navi Mumbai: NMMC demolishes illegal structures in Koparkhairane and Ghansoli

The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) is cracking down on encroachments and unauthorized constructions in the city and demolished structures in Koparkhairane and Ghansoli wards on Tuesday.
According to officials from the anti-encroachment department of NMMC, house no 1149 in Sector 12D in Koparkhairane ward carried out construction without any prior permission of the corporation. A notice under Section 54 of the Maharashtra Regional Planning and Town Planning (MRTP) Act, 1966 was issued by the Koparkhairane ward office, asking to remove the illegal portion. But they continued unauthorized construction.
Finally, the Koparkhairane ward conducted a crackdown on the unauthorized construction and removed the unauthorized construction. Officers and staff of Koparkhairane ward carried out the operation with the help of 8 laborers, 2 breakers, 1 gas cutter and 1 pickup van as well as a police

Navi Mumbai: NMMC crosses 2 lakh COVID-19 vaccinations; civic chief Abhijit Bangar takes the second dose

The number of people vaccinated under the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has crossed the 2 lakh mark on April 25 as the civic body is conducting a vaccination drive at 49 centres including in private hospitals. In the last 20 days, around 80,000 people were vaccinated in the city.
While taking the second dose of the vaccine civic chief Abhijit Bangar appealed to citizens that each beneficiary is required to take two doses of the vaccine. âIt is mandatory to take the second dose of the same vaccine as the first dose,â said a senior civic official.
