To help collect comments, California Department of Transportation officials hosted a public bicycle ride Wednesday evening on part of the 6-mile route where improvements are anticipated on one of the city s main north-south thoroughfares. “We’re here because we, for the first time in Caltrans history, actually have dedicated funding to address our complete streets mobility needs,” said Tamy Quigley, a Caltrans planner.
