TOWER - Yes, the Fourth of July is back, but for Tower-Soudan this year, it will be celebrated on Saturday, July 3.
Most of the traditional activities are back on track, with a few changes.
The parade starts at 11 a.m., but come to City Hall at 10:30 a.m. for the flag raising and singing of the National Anthem. Float judging is at 10 a.m. at the parade line-up at the Tower Civic Center parking lot.
The Tower-Soudan Civic Club’s pancake breakfast has been canceled, due to safety concerns, but most other traditional activities are on the schedule.

Muscle cars, burnout pits and dragging Main Street ⦠it must be summer in Tremonton.
The Mugs & Banana Drag Night is returning to Tremonton with its 10th edition this Saturday night. The popular, free event, which normally alternates between Preston and Tremonton every other year, was canceled last year because of the pandemic.
According to promotional materials, this yearâs theme will be âRemembering the Good Olâ Days,â inviting people to âtake yourself back to the â60s when there were real muscle/classic cars & Real music.â

The event starts with a 6:30 p.m. meet-and-greet at the Garland LDS Church, 105 S. Main. All cars will proceed to Tremontonâs Main Street at 7 p.m. for some good olâ fashioned dragging Main. Registration for burnouts will also begin at that time.
