Vizianagaram MP Bellana Chandrasekhar on Sunday said that the welfare schemes being implemented by the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy government would ensure a massive victory for all YSRCP candidates in the municipal corporation elections.
Along with local MLA Kolagatla Veerabhadra Swamy, he campaigned for the YSRCP candidates in places like Gajularega, Babametta and Phoolbagh Colony. He said speedy development of Fort City would be possible if the party won the Mayor seat. Mr.Veerabhadra Swamy alleged that the TDP had no right to seek votes since it had not helped people when they were facing troubles during the lockdown and coronavirus pandemic. “Former Union Minister P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju and TDP leaders locked their offices and homes. But YSRCP extended its helping hand to victims,” he claimed.

DHUBRI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Ashok Kumar Singhi from Bilasipara (East), in an interaction with media persons at Chapor of Dhubri district, claimed that over one lakh people benefited under various welfare schemes in the last five years.
Singhi said that a massive socio-economic transformation had taken place in his constituency due to various welfare schemes initiated by the State and Central governments. Apart from that, Dhubri district being one of the 117 aspirational districts of the country, various innovative schemes and projects got implemented and were being continued in order to uplift the socio-economic condition of the people, along with a massive infrastructural development in all the sectors, focusing particularly on education, agriculture, health, communication and skill development, Singhi said.
The Delhi Cabinet approved child welfare schemes worth Rs 185 crore on Tuesday, according to a statement issued here. Chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, the cabinet released funds for several schemes, including scholarships for minority communities and the Ladli scheme . While Rs 76 crore was approved to provide pre-matric, post-matric and merit scholarships for class 1-12 students from SC, ST, and OBC communities, Rs 100 crore was approved for the Ladli scheme that looks at empowering school going girls, the statement said. The Ladli Scheme , implemented by the Department of Women and Child development in 2008, aims at promoting education among girls, reducing their drop-out rate and providing financial security, it noted.

Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh State cabinet headed by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday has approved the welfare scheme calendar for the year 2021-22 and has given the nod for providing financial assistance to women of Economically Backward Class (EBC) besides other key decisions.
Briefing the media after the cabinet meeting, Information & Public Relations Minister Perni Venkatramaiah said that the new scheme EBC Nestam will be implemented from the coming financial year, under which the government will provide financial assistance of Rs 45,000 for each woman beneficiary aged between 45-60 years at a rate of Rs 15,000 per annum for a span of three years. The Government has alloted Rs 670 crore per annum totalling Rs 2011 crore for three years for the scheme.
