Narrandera Shire Council
The Murrumbidgee Trails Visitor Guide, a collaborative project between Narrandera, Leeton, Lockhart and Murrumbidgee Councils, has been named as a finalist in the NSW Local Government Excellence Awards in the Special Projects Category.
The councils will be represented at a gala awards dinner in Sydney 3 June and will be widely recognised as either a finalist or overall winner in the Special Project Initiative-Population under 100,000 category.
A Local Government NSW Professionals’ representative commented that the Murrumbidgee Trails Visitor Guide submission was “a pleasure to review and a selection committee standout”.
Mayor of Narrandera Shire, Councillor Neville Kschenka said today that this project was an excellent example of what neighbouring councils can do when they recognise mutual opportunities that arise from close cooperation.
