Greater Noida: GNIDA plans to set up a solid waste management centre ranging between 1,500 and 2,000 sqm area in collaboration with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and HDFC Bank.
At the centre, dry waste will be segregated and processed into a material recovery facility (MRF). It will also process and dispose of waste colllected from homes.
The authority will develop an application that will track garbage disposal. The first phase of the waste centre will be established and operated by HDFC bank for four years under its CSR initiative.
The authority has directed the health department to prepare a detailed evaluation report, including identifying the land area, at the earliest to start the project.
Greater Noida: In a boost to the growth of Greater Noida, the Union government has released the first tranche of payment for developing three ambitious infrastructure projects in the region an industrial township near Ajaibpur, a multimodal logistics hub in Dadri and a transport hub in Boraki.
Officials said that Rs 353 crore have been transferred to the Greater Noida Authority’s bank account by the department for promotion of industry and internal trade under the Union ministry of commerce for the execution of the three projects in the region. While the Union government will fund the projects, the UP government will infuse 50% equity in the shape of land.
