Elon Musk can be called a lot of things. Heâs an industrialist with a keen interest in rockets, a potential cage fighter ready to go against Johnny Depp and even a partner in Tom Cruiseâs next film⦠that just happens to be going to space. But as of now, Musk has just landed a pretty large honor: heâs now the richest person on the planet, and heâs responding with quite a bit of reserve and stoicism.
The Tesla Owners of Silicon Valley Twitter feed reported this news for all to hear far and wide, and naturally the man himself was going to respond. But if you were hoping for an Oscar night acceptance speech, or a video thanking his fans for helping him get there, youâd be wrong. Rather, Elon Muskâs reaction to becoming the richest person on the planet is the following, simple tweet:

Musicals, when done right, can be breathtaking cinematic journeys that bring what worked on the stage to living, breathing life. This potential success is even more admirable if the source material started out as a film in the first place, much as
Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Now, after years of development and a shift in studios, the Tony-award winning hit is finally about to get the movie treatment. Though thereâs more good news, as the project is fully developed, and talent intimately involved with the original production are involved in the process!

One thing I’ve been thinking about a lot this year is how Christmas isn’t always happiness and light. Christmas is also spooky, and lonely, and even sad. It’s a time that can make us feel safe and loved, but it’s also a time that can make us feel alien and confused. Christmas is a time for ghost stories and introspection, for darkness and dreams. Christmas is goth and maybe that’s why it’s such a huge part of the filmography of Tim Burton.
Now, I think we can agree that most Tim Burton movies are holiday movies in some way, and usually, the holiday is Halloween. But there is a small subset of Burton movies that are also Christmas movies (while simultaneously still being Halloween movies). Burton’s iconic Christmas movies were all made around the same time in his career as well, right as he was establishing himself as a filmmaker with a very unique brand and style. The back to back to back hit of

Starting in August 2017, Keith R.A. DeCandido took a weekly look at every live-action movie based on a superhero comic in the weekly 4-Color to 35-Millimeter: The Great Superhero Movie Rewatch. He caught up to real time, as it were, in January 2020, but is revisiting the feature every six months or so to look back at the new releases in the previous half-year. Last week, we looked at
The New Mutants.
There was no comic book more popular in the late 1970s and early 1980s than
Uncanny X-Men. After the third-rate super-team was rebooted in 1975 by the late great Len Wein and the late great Dave Cockrum, Chris Claremont took over the writing chores and, working with Cockrum and later John Byrne, turned it into Marvel’s powerhouse, the X-Men eclipsing Spider-Man as Marvel’s flagship.
Spider-Man Director Will Introduce Fantastic Four to MCU in New Film
The Fantastic Four are finally arriving in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. After the Fox/Disney merger, one of the biggest questions was when Marvel would save the first family of comics from their dire cinematic fate. It still won’t be anytime soon, but we finally have confirmation a film is coming and that
The news came during a bombardment of announcements that were delivered on Disney’s earnings call. Feige announced it saying that the film was in development and that Watts had been tapped to direct but gave no other details.
