BBMP keen on improving its rankings in the
Swachh Survekshan 2021 survey; last date for citizens to participate by voting and sending feedback is March 31
The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) authorities have been leaving no stone unturned to ensure residents send feedback on its performance in
solid waste management, cleanliness and other civic amenities as part of the
Swachh Survekshan 2021to improve its ranking.
The BBMP’s ranking in Swachh Survekshan had slipped to 214 in 2020 from 194 in 2019. It was at 216 in 2018 and 210 in 2017. According to the authorities, residents have to take part in the survey and vote to improve its ranking. March 31 is the last date to vote in the survey.

Statistics show that 28 tonnes of trash is generated in
Nandi hills annually. The trash includes 6,023 kg of pet bottles, 7,300 kg of glass bottles (liquor), 18,207 kg of low grade plastic and paper, 1,874 kg of cartons and 408 kg of metal cans.
