Two people were rescued and sent to hospital after a structure fire in the city s east end Tuesday that firefighters say spread to multiple buildings.
Dave Cunliffe, Hamilton s fire chief, said first reports of the blaze at 221 Kenilworth Ave. N. between Britannia Avenue and Hope Avenue came in at 3:19 p.m on Tuesday.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS BTC’s fiber to the home (FTTH) customers are benefitting from a major speed increase to their existing fiber services at no additional cost with faster-than-ever broadband speeds, the company said in a statement yesterday.

As the Bahamas’ telecommunications carrier of choice, the company continues to expand its fiber network footprint to more than 41,000 residents across The Bahamas, adding hundreds of miles of fiber expansion throughout the archipelago in recent months.

Full commercial operation at the Guernsey Power Plant south of Byesville is approximately a year-and-a-half away.
The plant is scheduled to begin full operation in December 2022, according to Mitch Garber, senior vice president of engineering and project management for Caithness Energy. I m really proud of that with everything that is going on in the world, said Garber. Our original completion date was Oct. 15. With everything that is going on, it has cost us less than two months. They guys on site have worked really hard to keep things going while keeping people safe and healthy. We are really proud of that.
