Mass test hot spots and speed up vaccinations: MMA

20 May 2021 / 17:23 H. Pix for illustration purposes. PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Medical Association (MMA) has urged the government to mass test people in Covid-19 hot spots to prevent further spread of infections in the community. It also urged the government to speed up vaccinating the population especially in Selangor where infections are the highest. “The exponential surge in Covid-19 cases are a clear indication that SOP compliance is at a highly unsatisfactory level,” MMA president Datuk Dr Subramaniam Muniandy “The SOPs are indeed a high priority, however ‘hoping’ for improvements in compliance is not a good plan at this crucial time when cases of Covid-19 are spreading in the community at a much faster rate. We should not be waiting for cases to pop-up. We should be mass testing the community.

Twenty-three travelers in Washington state being monitored for possible Ebola infection

https://www.afinalwarning.com/507690.html (Natural News) Health authorities in the state of Washington are now observing 23 people for the Ebola virus. The 23 travelers are from the West African countries of Guinea and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), where there are current outbreaks of the disease. However, state health officials are reassuring Washington residents that there is a “very low” risk of contracting Ebola on American soil. The Washington State Department of Health (Washington DOH) said in a March 25 statement that the 23 people will be monitored for roughly 21 days after they arrive in the U.S. “The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has issued an order requiring airlines to collect … contact information for passengers who were in [the two West African countries],” it added.
