A former Norfolk meat processing factory in 2.8 acres of land is being auctioned online with planning for nine homes.
The site Orchard Far at Great Moulton is now vacant and is a potentially highly lucrative residential redevelopment project, states agents Auction House.
The property is being auctioned online on May 5 at 11am.
The plans for the new homes went through a series of changes. Documents were originally for 20 homes but South Norfolk council planners concluded this was not acceptable.

Plans were later reduced to 15 but this was also not accepted as it would have seen homes built on green land at the back of the site which the council wanted to avoid.

Roads schemes totalling almost £130m are set to be approved for the county, including a £64m connection in west Norfolk.
Members of Norfolk County Council’s cabinet committee are likely to approve a £42m programme of maintenance, 113 small highway schemes costing £715,000 and other improvements totalling £85m on Monday.

The £64m West Winch Housing Access Road aims to put appropriate infrastructure in place before the development of 4,000 new homes in the area.
If approved next week the next step will be for a business case to be submitted to the Department for Transport with the aim of securing £50m Government funding for the route.
Britain’s aircraft carriers have played a vital role
SIR – Sir Max Hastings never misses an opportunity to have a dig at Britain’s aircraft carriers, most recently in a report about armoured recce vehicles (December 29).
I am uncertain whether Sir Max has ever set foot on an aircraft carrier, but he will recall, as a writer about global conflict, that in the Second World War Germany, Italy and Japan could not have been defeated without the critical contribution of aircraft carriers in the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, in every major amphibious landing and, in particular, in the remorseless allied fight across the Pacific.
