Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/. On July 2, the meeting of the Committee on Economic Affairs, Science, Technology and Environment was held virtually within the Annual Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
Representing the Mongolian Parliament, Ms. Odontuya Saldan, Vice-Chairwoman of the State Great Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia and member of the Mongolian Delegation to the OSCE PA attended the meeting.
Within the general theme “Reinforcing Multilateralism in Times of Global Crisis: A Parliamentary Call for Future Action”, the Committee’s report was presented by the Rapporteur Mr. Laurynas Kasciunas. Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ On June 11, the State Great Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia passed a resolution setting a date for the swearing-in ceremony of President-elect U.Khurelsukh.
In the presidential election that took place on June 9, 2021, candidate from the Mongolian People’s Party U.Khurelsukh led the ballot with 823,326 votes or gained 67.8 percent of total votes, whereas candidate from the Right Person Electoral Coalition D.Enkhbat followed with 246,968 votes (20.3 percent) with candidate from the Democratic Party S.Erdene collecting 72,832 votes (6 percent).

Agreement on the Immunity and Privileges of the International Criminal Court (ICC) was discussed and ratified by the State Great Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia during its plenary session held on December 17, 2020.
Within the framework of the agreement, initially was adopted on September 9, 2002 in New York during the meeting of the Assembly of the State Parties, the participants, such as judges and
prosecutors elected by the Assembly of States Parties of the ICC, enjoy the
same privileges and immunity as diplomatic representatives under the Vienna
Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
Ratification of the
agreement is significant for Mongolia to fulfill its obligations under the Rome
