The diver was identified as Brian Trahey. On July 7, he had gone under the water to inspect the Calkins Bridge Dam in Valley Township as part of a Consumers Energy project. A search was prompted when he failed to resurface, and his body was recovered later that afternoon. “Team GLEG is very sad to have to announce such tragic news regarding a valued member of our team,” officials said in a statement. “Please keep the Trahey family in your thoughts and prayers.”
