One person has died from the home explosion in River Falls, Wisconsin, on Monday, Feb. 1.
Martha Gaustad, 75, died at the hospital, the River Falls Police Department said on Tuesday, while her daughter, Kari Gaustad, 42, is still hospitalized in stable condition.
They were the only two people inside the home on the 4000 block of River Hills Road when it exploded, with authorities noting neighbors helped them out of the home.
The River Falls Star-Observer reported a neighbor heard a boom followed by their door being blown open and their house shaking. KARE 11 said the home is a pile of rubble and that a neighboring house sustained damage from the blast.

RIVER FALLS, Wis. One person has died after what police are calling an explosion and fire at a home in River Falls, Wisconsin Monday evening.
According to a press release from police, River Falls Police and Fire Departments responded to reports of a fire in the 400 block of River Hills Road.
Upon arrival first responders learned two people were in the home at the time of the explosion, and that neighbors helped pull them out.

A house explosion left two people injured in River Falls, Wisconsin, on Monday evening, according to a release from the city.
Authorities say the house exploded on the 400 block of River Hills Road, and two residents inside the home were helped out of the home by neighbors.
One victim was transported by ambulance to Regions Hospital in St. Paul and the other was taken to River Falls Area Hospital for care. The extent of their injuries was not released by police.
