The Forestry Development Authority in collaboration with GIZ have ended a daylong meeting with stakeholders of River Gee County in Fish Town City, Monday.
Mr. Joseph N. Greene, head of the Forestry Development Authority (FDA) in his opening remarks, explained that the meeting is aimed at giving a clear picture on the importance of the Grebo-Krahn National Park Management Regional Validation.
“It is very important for everyone to collectively protect the forest and the animals, to be used in the future. I wish to encourage every participants to make good use of this golden opportunity and be able to share with their families and friends who are unable to attend this meeting, forest, animal’s management is key”.

Ingrid Wetterqvest, Swedish Ambassador to Liberia, has described female representation at the decision-making table as an ‘important component’ for prospering society.
Amb. Wetterqvest Liberia has a lot to do when it comes to female representation, citing an example on the Senate that has two women Senators and 28 men, and in the House of Representatives having eight women while the rest are men.
“With the level of representation at the Legislature, it shows that the women do not have formal rights that men are afforded. So, they need to find other ways to get at the decision-making table to make their voices and concerns heard, “Amb. Wetterqvist said.
