Emergency services were called to reports of a person in a river. Police officers and fire crews were sent to the River Tame, off Lichfield Road, Hopwas, between Tamworth and Lichfield, shortly after 9pm on Sunday, May 16.

Firefighters, police, paramedics and specialist water rescue teams descended on a Staffordshire river following reports a body had been seen in the water.
The alarm was raised at 9pm on Sunday at the River Tame in Tamworth.
