A MUCH loved community swimming pool in Leonard Stanley needs a bit of TLC before welcoming swimmers back. The pool at Leonard Stanley Primary School has previously provided hours of happiness and entertainment for school children and local families over the summer months. But due to the pandemic, it has been out of use since summer 2019, and now needs some essential upgrades if it is to reopen this year. Friends of Leonard Stanley School (FOLSS) who fund and run the pool are now calling for help to raise £14,000 to get the facility up and running again. Friends secretary Annaleise Jones said: “To have a local school with a swimming pool accessible to local families is such an amazing thing.
