1 killed, 5 injured in Benton County crash

KANSAS CITY, Mo. â One person was killed and five others were injured in a crash in Benton County, Missouri, Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened around 4:10 p.m. on southbound MO-7 just north of Walking Horse Lane near Warsaw, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Investigators said a 2009 Chrysler Town and Country was headed northbound on MO-7 when it crossed the line and collided head-on with a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu that was headed south. The two vehicles spun and were hit by a 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 that was also traveling south.
Deepwater Man Killed in Head-on Crash in Benton County
A Deepwater man was killed in a three-vehicle accident that occurred Sunday afternoon in Benton County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2009 Chrysler Town & Country, driven by 27-year-old Derrick R. Spain of Warsaw, was on Missouri 7, 839 feet south of Walking Horse Lane around 4 p.m., when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a southbound 2012 Chevy Malibu, driven by 24-year-old Bailey C. Jelinek of Deepwater, head-on. After the impact, the two vehicles rotated and were struck by a southbound 2001 Dodge Ram 3500, driven by 63-year-old Alan C. Haverland of Deepwater.
