NHRC: The tale of a flagging institution July 17, 2021, 7:55 AM IST Dr. Subhradipta Sarkar is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. An LL.B. from the University of Calcutta, he holds LL.M., M.Phil. & Ph.D. degrees from NLSIU, Bengaluru. He started his professional career as a Law Researcher at People’s Watch, a Madurai based human rights organization, before venturing into academics. Dr. Sarkar has authored a book titled, “Disaster Management and Protection of Human Rights in India – With Reference to International Law and Practice” (Publisher: Thomson Reuters, 2019). He has published several journal articles, book reviews, book chapters and monographs. Dr. Sarkar is a manuscript reviewer with Oxford University Press.
