Washington Mystics visit the Indiana Fever on Tuesday night

Where: Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, IN How to watch: Monumental Sports Network Injury Report Elena Delle Donne (Back, Out); Alysha Clark (Foot, Out) Fever: Lauren Cox (Knee, Out); Aaliyah Wilson (Foot, Out) Pregame notes The Washington Mystics (1-3) will play the Indiana Fever (1-4) again on Tuesday after losing 89-77 despite 31 points from Tina Charles. That previous game was also the first game for Myisha Hines-Allen since playing overseas. She didn’t do so hot offensively as she was held scoreless. But we know she’ll get going as the season progresses. The Mystics need that x-factor off the bench. The only players in double figures in their loss was Charles, Atkins and Erica McCall who were starters in the game. The bench only gave 12 points.

Washington Mystics and Indiana Fever play tonight!

The last meeting wasn’t too good as Washington lost 89-77. We hope things will play out differently tonight! It can be expected that Tina Charles will score high, but keep a look out for another Mystics player to get going as it’s definitely needed. This Washington team has to find a way to keep their shooting at a high level and not experience any droughts late in the game. That was the issue previously as they were held to just 13 points in the third quarter.

WNBA Previews: Connecticut Sun meet Seattle Storm, seeking 6-0 record

Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty Images After stumbling to an 0-5 start in 2020, the Connecticut Sun have started the 2021 WNBA season 5-0. Can they extended their season-opening unbeaten streak to 6-0? Tuesday night, they complete the final leg of their three-game west coast road trip, meeting the Seattle Storm at Angel of the Winds Arena at 10 p.m. ET (CBS Sports Network). Even though the Sun are missing their engine in Alyssa Thomas, head coach Curt Miller has the Sun machine humming, powered by its starting five of Jonquel Jones, DeWanna Bonner, Brionna Jones, Jasmine Thomas and Natisha Hiedeman. (Although, it will be assistant coaches Brandi Poole and Chris Koclanes at the helm, as Miller is suspended for his insensitive comments about Liz Cambage during the Sun’s victory over the Las Vegas Aces.) Connecticut currently sports the WNBA’s best offense (107.4 rating), second-best defense (91.0 rating) and best overall net rating (16.4).

WNBA: Tina Charles, Washington Mystics defeat New York Liberty

Photo by Ned Dishman/NBAE via Getty Images Tina Charles scored in double figures in both of her first two games as a Washington Mystic, with one of the efforts being a 20-plus one, but she struggled form the field, shooting 33.3 percent. On Friday night at the Entertainment and Sports Arena, Charles had a breakout 34-point, nine-rebound performance that featured a 12-of-21 (57.1 percent) effort from the field and a 4-of-7 (57.1 percent) effort from beyond the arc, silencing any doubters who thought the 32-year-old might have lost a step after sitting out the 2020 season. Charles’ four made 3-pointers marked a career high and contributed to a 101-72 victory for the Mystics over her former and hometown team, the New York Liberty.
