NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Thursday is Holocaust Remembrance Day, observed around the world. Never before has SFA had an official remembrance event. Change will come tomorrow.
Jewish representation at SFA, and for that matter all of Nacogdoches, is minimal. That may be changing thanks to SFA Hillel, a student group that builds connections to Jewish journeys.

Jules Gerstein, 19, who founded the school’s Jewish Student Union, said fliers with QR codes that led to an anti-Semitic radio station were discovered in the social sciences building on March 29. “Multiple” professors who had the fliers posted on their doors were Jewish, according to the Jewish Student Union.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The University of North Florida said it has identified a student who is accused of placing stickers around campus that had QR codes linking to a website that hosted white supremacist and anti-Semitic materials.
The Florida Times-Union, which first reported the story, said the messaging was posted on the doors of Jewish professors’ classrooms.
UNF said Tuesday that the person responsible has been identified as a current student and the incident has been referred to the Office of Equal Opportunity and Inclusion and Student Conduct. A university spokesperson said that because of the federal Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act, UNF can’t release any more information about the incident.

The QR codes were posted to the doors of multiple Jewish professors during the traditional celebration of Passover last week, according to the UNF Jewish Student Union. The QR codes directed devices to anti-Semitic and white supremacist propaganda.
