The administration had planned to inoculate 508 persons. This included 96 at District Government Wenlock Hospital, 75 at the Urban Primary Health Centre, Surathkal, 83 at taluk hospital, Bantwal, 84 at TH, Belthangady, 97 at TH Sullia, and 73 at TH, Puttur. As against the target, 20, 45, 40, 35, 45, and 44 healthcare workers respectively were inoculated at these centres by the end of the sessions.

The truck carrying vaccines from Bengaluru reached the regional storage facility in Mangaluru on Thursday at 7am, said Dr B V Rajesh, RCH Officer, Dakshina Kannada. Dr Rajesh told TOI that 24,500 doses of vaccine will be given to beneficiaries from healthcare sector in Dakshina Kannada while 12,000 for those registered from the sector in Udupi and 6,000 for Chikkamagaluru district. Vaccine will be sent to all centres in three districts immediately, he said.

They are conducting health tests on children allegedly sexually exploited by an arrested junior engineer. In the latest development to the case related to child pornography in Uttar Pradesh, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday took major action. A team of five specialist doctors of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) along with the CBI team from Delhi reached Chitrakoot on Thursday. They are conducting health tests at the Urban Primary Health Centre on children allegedly sexually exploited by an arrested junior engineer of the irrigation department. The CBI team reached Chitrakoot, which is the native place of the accused and has started conducting health tests of the children who were victims of the heinous act.

Second dry run of Covid-19 vaccination held at 150 sites across Delhi

A second dry run of the COVID-19 vaccination roll-out was conducted at 150 sites across all 11 districts of Delhi on Friday, officials said. They said 10 vaccination centres were chosen in South Delhi for the dry run, including the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), the Safdarjung Hospital, the Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya Hospital, and the Pushpwati Singhania Hospital and Research Institute. In South East district, 19 sites were chosen across three sub-divisions. The sites included the Batra Hospital, the Fortis Hospital, the Escorts Hospital, the National Heart Institute, the Holy Family Hospital, the Apollo Hospital and the MCW Gautampuri. At the National Heart Institute, a staff member said, We followed the procedure as would be done on the day of vaccination.
