According to the IMD, Hyderabad director K Nagarathna, dry winds are expected in most parts of the state due to north winds blowing over Telangana. Extreme heatwaves are expected in the northern, northeastern and eastern parts of the state. The department bulletin said that heatwave conditions prevailed at isolated pockets in Khammam district during the last twenty-four hours ending at 8.30 am on Friday.

Mahbubnagar: A 24-year-old young man has committed suicide. Parents are weeping over the death of a child who would have soon gone abroad otherwise. The tragic incident took place in Nagar Kurnool district. Vivek, an MTech student, committed suicide by pouring petrol on himself near a bush on Monday on Nallavelli Road in the district headquarters. Vivek came out of the house around 11 am. He said he was going to the bank for some work and he came out on his scooter.

However, what was more heart wrenching was that Rakshita s parents had announced that they were donating her organs  after getting to know that there was no hope for her revival. As per reports, Rakshita was studying Masters at IIBIT University, Sydney and had joined the university on November 19 last year. She had gone out on her two wheeler on December 31and met with a grave accident. Her family originally hails from Dindichintapalli village, Wanguru mandal in Nagar Kurnool district, are now settled in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: Telangana government has revamped the Water Resources Department in tune with major changes that took place in the field of the irrigation sector in the State. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday held a meeting with the important Water Resources Department officials at Pragathi Bhavan and finalised the structure. According to a statement from Telangana Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the Chief Minister has decided to identify 19 water resources regional Centres in the State and each centre would be headed by one Chief Engineer as the monitoring officer.
