Results from yesterday’s Municipal Primary in Pennsylvania…
For Lewistown Borough Council, four-year term, the top three on the Republican ballot were Jim Steele, Richard Erhard, and Bill Wilson. Top Republican vote-getters for a two-year term were Larry “Heavy” Searer and Bobby Hammond.
For Burnham Borough Council, the top three Republicans were Lisa Barker Wise, Thomas Garver, and Robert Soccio. Matthew Deamer was the lone Democrat.
On the Republican ballot for Mifflin County Register & Recorder, Ellen Amspacker defeated incumbent Barbara Stringer.
For County Treasurer, Republican Diane Griffith was a winner over incumbent Deb Civitts. Democrat Lauren Mowry ran unopposed.
On the Republican ballot for Mifflin County School Board, the top four vote-getters were Diane Stewart, Mark Baker, Don Wright, and John Knepp. On the Democrat side, winners were Kristin Aromatorio, Rose Marie Schulz, Diane Stewart, and John Knepp.

This year there are 572 candidates running in 304 races in Bucks County alone and every candidate was invited by the League to submit their answers to questions, directly to Vote411. The majority responded. By entering your address, you can see the unedited responses of just those candidates who will be on your ballot. You can do a side-by-side comparison of the candidates and decide which one best represents your views. And then you can print out your choices to take with you to the polls.

Pennsylvania voters can drop off their completed ballots now until the Municipal Primary on May 18 at secured dropoff boxes, according to county officials.
Trained county staff have been accepting completed ballots since mid-April, and will continue to collect them until Election Day.
The 2021 primary lets voters cast their ballots for state, county, and municipal offices, as well as three proposed statewide constitutional amendments, and one referendum. Specific counties may also be offering voters the chance to vote on locally-specific referendums.
