New case counts remained around the 900 to 1,000 range per day over the weekend.
The number of active cases has finally decreased, but hospitalized cases continued to increase, which has become a focus of concern. Speaking to this point, B.C. health officials gave a presentation on the status of hospitalizations in the province.
Health orders are being extended, with travel restrictions soon to be implemented.
Meanwhile, vaccination registration opens this week for those in their 40s to those who are 18 years old.
In addition, there were 26 flights with exposures and nine more businesses closed by health authorities.

Police arrest a woman after using her DNA to crack a 1997 cold case of a infant boy found dead inside a Seattle gas station restroom.
SEATTLE - Police arrested a woman more than 23 years after her newborn son was found dead inside a Seattle gas station restroom.
The newborn was found inside a trash can in a Chevron gas station restroom on Nov. 20, 1997, according to a Seattle Police Department blotter post on Wednesday. The gas station, located at 8721 Lake City Way NE, is now a Shell gas station.

The relocation of a secondary school has been given the go-ahead.
St John Fisher RC Comprehensive will move to the playing fields off City Way, Rochester, after councillors agreed plans for pupils to move out of two outdated facilities.

Students currently learn at two sites in Maidstone Road and Ordnance Street in Chatham which developers say are costly to maintain due to their age.
During a virtual meeting of Medway Council s planning committee yesterday (Wednesday), ward councillors said whilst they approved the relocation of the school, they were worried about the impact the development would have on residents living in City Way, Elmhurst Gardens and Boundary Road.

St John Fisher RC Comprehensive - Medway s only Catholic secondary school - is split between two sites in Maidstone Road and Ordnance Street, Chatham.

The new plans are for it to move to one site on playing fields off City Way, Rochester.
The development, which would be overseen by Wates Construction Ltd, would have enough space to meet the needs of 900 pupils plus 285 sixth formers.
