In partnership with iStar, SummerStage will also return to the Seaside Park Community Arts Center & the Coney Island Amphitheater in Brooklyn this summer for six free concerts featuring Gloria Gaynor, DJ Stormin Norman, La Indi and more.
SummerStage in Central Park will also host several paid benefit performances this season. Blue Note at SummerStage will present three shows, each with two seatings a matinee and an evening show starting June 20, including a show from George Clinton with Parliament Funkadelic. The Bowery Presents benefit shows will include Lake Street Dive on Aug. 24, Machine Gun Kelly on Sept. 13, Dawes on Sept. 17, and folk-rock co-bill Indigo Girls with Ani DiFranco on Sept. 21, with more to be announced.
First agreement in Canada to reduce the carbon impact of air travel
Edmonton International Airport (EIA) and Air Canada are signing a new partnership to reduce carbon emissions and advance a green and sustainable aviation sector.
The EIA-Air Canada Sustainability Partnership aims to reduce the carbon impact of air travel with both organizations working together to test emerging green technologies at EIA s Airport City Sustainability Campus, an ecosystem that EIA created to foster environmental innovation. The partnership reflects both corporations pledges to sustainability and reducing carbon emissions to a net-zero future.

Latest donation to Oregon City Parks Foundation to fund scholarships for low-income families
More organizations are lining up to help reduce barriers to accessing summer camps for Oregon City children who come from families with limited income.

regon City Parks Foundation.
Oregon City Parks Foundation s scholarship fund, created in late 2020, received $2,000 in March through a successful grant application to OnPoint Community Credit Union. Oregon City Garbage Co., aka B&B Leasing, donated another $1,000 to the foundation s Elyejah Dean Hauff Camp Fund, which works with the city s Parks & Recreation Department to facilitate getting funds out to help pay the summer camp fees.
“Our Project Innovation grant challenge winners have used a number of unique approaches to create new opportunities and achieve success. Their commitment to diversity and focus on service has also inspired positive change across the Tri-State. Project Innovation is presented by the Comcast NBCUniversal Foundation and NBC and Telemundo-owned stations located in 11 markets, including New York. The stations held community panels to review grant applications and select the final grant recipients. This year, the program funding increased in each participating market to $315,000 and to $3.475 million across the 11 markets.
