City announces CDBG funding availability
Fairfield, California (Wednesday, January 27, 2021) Applications are now available for the City of Fairfield’s 2021-2022 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program year. The applications are for Public Service and Non-Public Service funding under the City’s one-year funding cycle that includes FY 2021-2022 (July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022). The City expects to locally distribute approximately $850,000 in funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the CDBG Program. This amount is subject to change due to HUD allocations and the city’s budgetary process. The primary objective of the Program is: “The development of viable urban communities, including decent housing and a suitable living environment, and expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low- and very low-income.”
