City Health Office notes rising active Covid-19 cases in Oro

April 16, 2021 THE City Health Office has noted an increase in the number of active cases in Cagayan de Oro after the city registered new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) cases. As of 10 p.m. of April 15, Cagayan de Oro recorded 10 local cases with link, three local authorized persons outside residence (Apors) and 12 local index cases. This brought the cumulative number of Covid-19 infections to 4,412. According to Acting City Health Office Dr. Lorraine Nery, of the 4,412 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 435 were under the returning overseas Filipinos/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,977 cases were local transmissions. The city s active cases, on the other hand, reached 278, 84 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 186 were outpatients, and eight were ROFs/LSIs.

As of 10 p.m. on April 8, the city recorded nine local cases with link, six local authorized persons outside residence (Apors) and 11 local index cases. This brought the cumulative Covid-19 case count to 4,272. According to Acting City Health Office Dr. Lorraine Nery, of the 4,272 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 431 were under the returning overseas Filipinos/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 3,841 cases were local transmissions. The city s active cases, on the other hand, reached 200, 60 of whom were admitted to the Northern Mindanao Medical Center and other hospitals in the city, 135 were outpatients, and five were ROFs/LSIs.

December 18, 2020 EIGHTEEN residents of Cagayan de Oro have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the city to 2,695. Acting City Health Office Dr. Lorraine Nery said five of the 18 new local cases are close contacts of previously confirmed cases and three are local authorized persons outside residence (Apors). Of the 2,695 total Covid-19 cases in the city, 394 are under the returning overseas Filipino workers/locally stranded individuals (ROFs/LSIs) category and 2,301 cases are local transmissions. According to Nery, the 2,301 local cases consist of 178 persons deprived of liberty, 1,159 local index cases, and 964 local cases with link.
