WILLMAR As winter has slipped away, a new Minnesota season is beginning road construction. This also means the restarting of the Willmar Wye construction, specifically the conclusion of the road portion of the project.

2021 wetland restoration: The Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources has announced a conservation easement sign-up period through April 7. The goal is to generate wetland credits in specific Wetland Bank Service Areas throughout the state for the Local Government Road Wetland Replacement Program. The program was formed to ensure road reconstruction and other road maintenance projects provide wetland mitigation for affected wetlands. Latest round of COVID-19 financial relief for businesses helps 66 Kandiyohi County establishments
Kandiyohi County and the Economic Development Commission have successfully distributed over $840k to county businesses through the MPR grant program. WILLMAR In Kandiyohi County, the Minnesota Pandemic Relief grant program has successfully assisted 66 county businesses by distributing $843,754 in state-provided funds.
The county, along with the Kandiyohi County and City of Willmar Economic Development Commission, reviewed dozens of the applicants over the past several weeks, trying to help as many businesses as it could with the money provided.
