OGDENSBURG A city police investigation led to two arrests after officers found a semi-automatic shotgun with a grenade launcher attachment.
Curtis A. Redmond and Shelby LaJoy of Ogdensburg were charged with two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

OGDENSBURG â Three dilapidated homes are expected to be demolished by the Ogdensburg Land Bank Corp. this month.
Andrea L. Smith, executive director of the Ogdensburg Land Bank Corp., said that the demolition of 918 Mansion Ave., 517 Rensselaer Ave., and 327 Madison Ave. should be completed sometime this month. The demolitions will be done by Danâs Hauling & Demo Inc., Albany.
The demolitions are part of several projects the Ogdensburg Land Bank is working on for 2021 and will be paid for through $1.13 million in funding provided by Enterprise Community Partners Community Revitalization Initiative.

OGDENSBURG â The St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators on Monday night tabled a resolution in support of the cityâs home rule legislation that would allow it to collect up to an additional 1% of sales tax revenue within the city limits.
Legislator David W. Forsythe, R-Lisbon, proposed the resolution, which was tabled until the boardâs next Finance Committee meeting on July 26. Legislator Joseph R. Lightfoot, R-Ogdensburg, proposed the tabling of the resolution with a second from Legislator Harold A. Smithers II, R-Gouverneur.
âThis is another one of these come lately resolutions,â Mr. Lightfoot said prior to asking the board to table the resolution. âThere is no big rush to do this.
