After I retired from teaching at Keefe Tech years ago I still had the desire to be in contact with the younger generation. Therefore, I decided to be a school bus driver. I learned so much of the great programs offered that most people do not have the opportunity to observe. But let s get back to the bus driver shortage. I am interested in casting some information on the subject.
The Friday, Feb. 19, Daily News featured a bus driver shortage story.
I do not have a solution to the problem outside of the consideration of monetary salary payment increases to substantiate the desire for someone to accept the responsibilities and qualify for the position in the first place.
