A dispute over who should foot the bill for dozens of homeless people staying at a Perth hotel has taken an unexpected turn after it was revealed the two men running the venue are convicted fraudsters.
Perth City Apartment Hotel owner Eddie Kamil claims the state government owes him more than $40,000 for accommodating about 40 rough sleepers, who showed up in the days after Fremantleâs âtent cityâ was dismantled.
