Downtown SLO says they are looking for volunteers for the Downtown San Luis Obispo Farmers Market over the next few weeks.
The Farmers Market takes place every Thursday and they need volunteers from 5:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.
According to the registration form, volunteers help welcome people, check for mask compliance and count the number of guests.

For the first time in over a year, the Downtown San Luis Obispo Farmersâ Market reopened, albeit with a smaller footprint and some safety precautions.
The Market is now limited to two blocks instead of five, and runs down Higuera Street from Osos to Chorro Street.
People can partake in the beloved tradition on Thursdays from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Organizers and vendors start setting up and clearing the street of cars around 5 p.m.
The vendors are spaced at least six feet apart and have little labels on the curb for where they should go.

The Downtown San Luis Obispo Farmers Market will return this week with fewer vendors and a smaller footprint.
It stalled operations more than a year ago due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The market, which resumes Thursday at 6 p.m., will only involve two blocks of Higuera Street between Chorro and Osos streets.
Vendors will also be limited to between 20-30 certified farmers, sellers who make pre-packaged food, and artisans and makers of home goods that are made in-house and off-site.
Social distancing among vendors will be enforced and hand-washing stations installed.
–After more than a year of non-operation due to COVID-19, Downtown SLO announced this week that the Thursday night Downtown San Luis Obispo Farmers’ Market will be returning to Higuera street every Thursday beginning on May 6 from 6-9 p.m.
Downtown SLO says they are excited to welcome the community back to the market but will be doing so in phases over the coming year. The market’s first phase will operate as a certified farmers’ market with other essential foods and goods as defined by the markets that are able to operate under the red tier of the California Blueprint for a Safer Economy.
