CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Itâs the last day of Downtown Cleveland Restaurant Week, and for the past 10 days, people have been trying to get out and support local establishments.
The event aimed to bring people back Downtown after almost a year of pandemic shutdowns.
âIâm just glad to leave the house because I work at home so Iâm home all day,â said one woman, who did not want to give her name.

It s no secret local restaurants have struggled through the pandemic, but downtown Cleveland restaurants were hit especially hard. Without events and other big draws downtown, much of the business those places saw is dried up.
Downtown Cleveland Restaurant week hopes to change that, and shine a light on these places most in need. The week runs from February 19 through the 28th, and features more than 20 eateries.
Whether you want to try something new or return to a downtown favorite, diners can enjoy a variety of prix-fixe lunch and dinner specials throughout the week. Even things like family meals to-go and group lunch deliveries for professionals are being offered.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - More than 15 restaurants are offering specials for Downtown Cleveland Restaurant Week, which starts Friday.
It spans from Feb. 19 to Feb. 28. Dining options include outdoor, in-person, delivery and to-go.

“This is a great opportunity for Clevelanders to safely come together to support and celebrate our locally owned establishments when they need us most,” Joe Marinucci, President and CEO of Downtown Cleveland Alliance, said in a press release.

Cleveland, OH - Cleveland Neighborhood Progress, Destination Cleveland and Downtown Cleveland Alliance today announced a collaboration to encourage residents to support locally owned restaurants, shops and hospitality businesses. Labeled “Roam the Winter WonderLand,” the initiative includes a program that will highlight and encourage neighborhood discovery, the creation of welcoming and socially distanced pop-up outdoor environments in city neighborhoods and a marketing campaign offering ideas to explore the city responsibly and safely, including through meal takeout, online shopping, virtual experiences and overnight stays.
As part of the collaboration, Cleveland Neighborhood Progress is launching Eat & Explore CLE, a program designed to boost business and outdoor activity in city neighborhoods.
