Lawsuit: Geisha, Sushi with a Flair employees targeted and harassed female colleagues

BATON ROUGE - The Louisiana-area sushi chain Geisha, Sushi with a Flair was brought to federal court for allegedly harassing and discriminating against its female employees.  The complaint was filed on May 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana by plaintiffs McKensi Lambert and Cayley Moreau. The plaintiffs were employed by the defendant.  Other individual defendants in the case include Thanh Binh, Tien Le, Robert Lindsey and Stephen Molony.  Molony allegedly made continuous sexual remarks about the plaintiffs bodies and sexual habits. According to the complaint, Molony also suggested one of the plaintiffs insert a vibrating neck massager into her vagina. An investigation ensued after Lambert reported the issue and Molony allegedly apologized by giving Lambert a hug.

The farmers, who had typically planted two or three rice crops a year, switched to either rotating the cultivation of rice and shrimp or intercropping rice and shrimp. Some farmers rotated rice and other crops, and others switched completely from rice to growing fruit or other crops, or engaging in aquaculture.

The Mekong Delta exports tens of millions of tonnes of goods each year. However, there is a lack of seaports in the region, especially deep-water ports that can handle export containers. This, coupled with overloaded ports in Ho Chi Minh City, leads to increased service fees, storage fees, and waiting times.
