ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A 42-year-old man was found dead at the Knights Inn hotel Friday morning, according to Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler.
Fowler said the man’s death was reported after he was found not breathing in one of the hotel rooms.
The body will be sent to a crime lab for an autopsy, according to the coroner.
There was a large police and EMS presence at the scene Friday morning.

ALBANY, Ga. (WALB) - A shooting death is under investigation, according to Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler.
It happened on the 1400 block of Cromartie Beach Drive.
Joshua McNeil, 33, died from a single gunshot wound, according to the Albany Police Department. He worked for the City of Albany, according to a city spokesperson. Albany death investigation (Source: WALB)
The incident is still under investigation, Fowler said.

Based on that extensive track record of leadership in helping students succeed, the University System of Maryland (USM) Board of Regents announced recently that Fowler has been selected as the next president of University of Maryland Global Campus. He will begin his new position on Jan. 4.
