Qatari Forum for Authors launches publications on culture and knowledge

Doha: The Qatari Forum for Authors have launched a set of publications covering various aspects of culture and knowledge.
The new publications were launched at Bait Al Hikma (House of Wisdom) of the Ministry of Culture and Sports. This year’s editions exceed 160 diversified publications, covering various fields.
Among the launched books was Social Responsibility and its Role in the Development and Stability of Societies by Dr. Hala Al Saeed, an autism consultant and director of the Doha International Center for Special needs, QNA reported.
During the inauguration session moderated by Maryam Yassin Al Hammadi, Director General of the Forum, Dr. Hala Al Saeed said, “I designed a special curriculum for special needs entitled (Social Responsibility), along with many initiatives in social responsibility, where I was selected among the 100 most influential Arab personali

The State of Qatar participated in the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) meeting on ‘Reimagining Equality: Eliminating racism, xenophobia and discrimination for all in the decade of action for the SDGs held through video conference technology yesterday. The delegation of the State of Qatar to the meeting was headed by the SecretaryGeneral of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Chairman of Qatar Committee for the Alliance of Civilizations, H E Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi. In a speech to the meeting, Dr. Al Hammadi stressed the need to address manifestations of extremism, racism, xenophobia, and discrimination, which are one of the main pillars for achieving the goals of the United Nations and other international conventions.
