Compact and low-profile LDOs deliver low output voltage noise
Toshiba Electronics Europe GmbH has introduced its new TCR5RG series. These LDO voltage regulators cover an output voltage range of 0.9V to 5.0V, giving them reach to be applied in an extensive range of potential applications. They have a 100dB ripple rejection ratio (when operating at a 1kHz frequency). This has been accomplished through combining a wide-gap internal circuit topology, an integrated high-speed operational amplifier supporting low noise operation, and low-pass filtering.
The expansive series comprises 45 different devices, all of which are contained in WCSP4F packages taking up minimal PCB space. They support a maximum output current of 500mA and offer a 5μV (typical) output voltage noise, with a ±1.5% output voltage accuracy at voltages between 1.8V and 2.8V (going to ±1.8% for voltages above 2.8V) and chip temperature range of -40C to +85C.
