THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) â Thomas County Sheriff s Office is investigating after receiving reports of a law enforcement officer impersonator in Thomasville.
According to TCSO, an unmarked vehicle occupied by a male and a female has stopped at least one person.
There are multiple unmarked official law enforcement vehicles patrolling in Thomasville and Thomas County. We have received multiple complaints about an unmarked vehicle (possibly an SUV) equipped with blue lights, TCSO said in a statement.
TCSO says if you are pulled over by an unmarked car, comply and safely pull over; however, if it does not seem right, please call 911 and verify the person pulling you over is law enforcement.

Authorities are encouraging parents to talk to their children about online predators and to monitor their kidsâ computer use.
Their advice comes in the wake of four recent criminal cases in Davidson and Ashe counties involving girls who were taken or solicited by men online.
âOne of the most important things that needs to be done is that parents need to have a conversation with their child about what is safe internet usage,â said Kevin Roughton, the special agent in charge of the State Bureau of Investigationâs computer crimes unit. âEveryone is going to be on the internet, so how do we do it safely and how do we protect our kids?â
Thomasville woman charged after toddler hospitalized for ingesting medication

A Thomasville woman has been charged with child abuse after a toddler ingested prescription medication from a pill bottle she allowed him to play with, according to law enforcement.
Shanna Marie Allred, 19, of 187 Holliman St., Thomasville, was charged with felony negligent child abuse causing serious bodily injury.
According to information on the arrest warrant provided by the Davidson County Magistrates office, on Feb. 22 Allred allegedly allowed her toddler son to play with a full prescription bottle containing seizure medication and while neglecting to provide supervision, he opened the bottle and ingested a substantial amount of the medication, causing hospitalization.
