KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Police are investigating a fatal snowmobile crash in Cass County.
The accident happened around 10:15 Saturday evening on a trail near the intersection of Indian Lake Road and Topash Street in Silver Creek Township.
Investigators say three snowmobilers were involved. Two were traveling westbound, while the other was traveling eastbound before approaching a hill and colliding, killing 45 year old Keith Wesbster of Elkhart Indiana.
The other two drivers were taken area hospitals.  Authorities say that helmets were worn and that speed does appear to be a factor in the crash.

Dowagiac Police Department investigating a homicide By: Lari onna Green
CASS COUNTY, Mich. – The Dowagiac Police Department is investigating a murder that took approximately two days ago.
Around 4:30 p.m., Dowagiac Police were provided information of a possible homicide that had occurred in Hillcrest Apartments within the last two days.
After receiving the information, officers obtained a search warrant and located a 43-year-old male inside of the apartment.
According to police, he was deceased from an apparent violent injury.
After further investigation, it was determined that the victim did live in the apartment.
The Dowagiac Police Department does not believe that the public is in danger as a result of this incident. This incident is also not related to the shooting incident that the Dowagiac Police Department investigated on Tuesday morning of this week.
