Halo franchise is a huge success and we’ve seen an installment make an appearance on each Xbox console release. There were expectations of
Halo Infinite launching alongside the Xbox Series X/S. This is a game that had been teasing fans for years as we’ve waited for a new trailer release that offered some gameplay footage. It took a bit of time but during the summer of 2020, we finally got that gameplay footage trailer released which highlighted several minutes of the campaign.
Unfortunately, the developers and Microsoft were not expecting a barrage of backlash comments from the fans after the trailer showcase. It was clear that there were graphical issues and the fans were disappointed in the game in which would have been a title made for the next-generation Xbox Series X/S console platforms.
Halo Infinite Is Still Coming to Xbox One
While rumors have been circulating about Halo Infinite being Xbox Series exclusive based on a LinkedIn profile, it looks like the next-gen Halo is going to be cross-generational after all. According to 343 Industries Community Manager John Junyszek, the rumors are simply untrue and he’s looking forward to enjoying the holidays without having to dispel untrue rumors. The rest of the mainline Halo series is available on Xbox One, PC, and through the extensive Xbox Game Pass Ultimate lineup.
When asked on Twitter if the Xbox One version of Halo Infinite had been canceled secretly, 343 Industries Community Manager John Junyszek simply stated, “nope. Please let me enjoy the holidays.” The simple and short statement was accompanied by a crazy emoji, suggesting that Junyszek is tired of the rumors this year and is just looking forward to seeing what 2021 brings.
