Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas will host virtual and in-person job fairs across the 12-county region. In-person and virtual assistance with registering, preparing for, and attending the events is available at the six workforce centers.
• Thursday, July 15, 10 a.m. to 12 noon – JobsNow! Job Fair is a giant, region-wide, virtual job fair and online hiring opportunity. Registration is required. Individuals will be able to meet with employers, read about job openings, ask questions and submit resumes through a virtual platform using a personal computer, phone or other mobile device. As the state slowly recovers from the pandemic, it is important for people to get the education and training they need to secure good-paying jobs. The Wyoming Department of Workforce Services (DWS) Director Robin Cooley said they can help.
As of June 19, the DWS is launching a reemployment campaign to help people around the state learn about the services they offer including training, tuition assistance to help complete a GED certificate or college degree, assisting with job searches, resume writing, mock interviews and much more.
There are a slew of job openings across the state, especially in the tourism and hospitality industry that s really ramping up now for the summertime. Because of that seasonal need, Wyomingites have indicated they do want to get back to work.

CHEYENNE, Wyo. – Governor Mark Gordon has announced that Wyoming will end its participation in federal supplemental unemployment benefits in order to address workforce shortages being felt throughout the state.
The programs were made available through federal laws initiated in response to the pandemic and include Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act and Continued Assistance to Unemployed Workers Act of 2020. The additional payments will no longer be available to claimants as of June 19, 2021.
“Wyoming needs workers, our businesses are raring to go,” Governor Gordon said. “I recognize the challenges facing Wyoming employers, and I believe it’s critical for us to do what we can to encourage more hiring.
