ACC Announces Kickoff Times for First Three Weeks
Included below is a release from the ACC formally announcing kickoff times for the first three weeks of the 2021 football season. In addition to Clemson’s previously announced 7:30 p.m. game against Georgia on ABC on Sept. 4, Clemson will host South Carolina State at 5 p.m. on Sept. 11 on ACC Network and welcome Georgia Tech at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 on either ABC or ESPN.
In addition, the ACC confirmed that Clemson’s road game at Syracuse on Friday, Oct. 15 will kick off at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

Gasparilla Bowl cancelled after South Carolina pulls out over COVID-19 outbreak This year s Gasparilla Bowl in St. Petersburg has been cancelled after numerous positive COVID-19 tests at South Carolina.

The 2020 bowl season has already seen a lot of changes and cancellations, and the latest comes from the Gasparilla Bowl. That Tampa, FL-based bowl, initially set for a sponsorship from Union Home Mortgage beginning this year (following deals with magicJack, Beef O’Brady’s, Bitcoin, and Bad Boy Mowers) and set for a Dec. 26 slot on ESPN’s networks, now isn’t happening thanks to positive tests from the South Carolina Gamecocks (who had been set to face the UAB Blazers in this bowl). For the fifth time this season the UAB football team is in limbo after its bowl opponent dropped out due to positive COVID-19 tests and contact tracing.
The Blazers (6-3, 4-1 C-USA) will not be playing South Carolina in the 2020 Union Home Mortage Gasparilla Bowl, Saturday, Dec. 26, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
South Carolina athletic director Ray Tanner released the following statement:
“When the NCAA announced in October that it was waiving the minimum wins requirement to participate in bowl games, we knew that the SEC had enough bowl tie-ins, that we would likely get to play in a bowl game. The team was excited to learn Sunday that it would play in the Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa on Saturday. However, between members of the coaching staff and student-athletes, COVID and contact tracing has taken a toll too high for us to overcome. I have notified the bowl and the SEC
