Police find fatally injured man on N.J. city street

A 42-year-old Union County man was found dead of injuries early Monday on a street in Linden, authorities said.
Bruce Edward Ham Jr., of Elizabeth, was found about 2 a.m. in the 2000 block of East St. Georges Avenue in Linden. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
In a joint statement acting Union County Prosecutor Lyndsay V. Ruotolo and Linden Police Chief David Hart said the death was under investigation. They did not speculate on a cause or manner of death.
This investigation is being led by the Union County Homicide Task Force and assisted by members of the Linden Police Department, Union County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit, and Union County Police Department, Ruotolo and Hart said.

Union Township man charged with Newark girlfriend s killing in custody

UNION (Union) – A township man charged with the shooting death of his girlfriend is in police custody after turning himself in.
Union police responded early Sunday to a home on the 2100 block of Melrose Parkway near the corner of Hillcrest Terrace North where they found Taylor unresponsive, after suffering serious injuries, according to Union County Assistant Prosecutor Armando Suarez, who is handling the case.
Taylor was rushed to University Hospital in Newark, where she was pronounced dead shortly before 8 a.m., authorities said.
Webber was identified as a suspect following an investigation by the Union County Homicide Task Force and assisted by members of the Union Police Department, Union County Police Department Ballistics Unit, Union County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Unit, and New Jersey State Police.
