The Telangana intermediate board exam practicals have been postponed for Class 12 students by the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE). They were earlier scheduled to be held from May 29. A review will be held on the matter in the first week of June.

The petition sought the apex court to direct the Centre to provide an alternative assessment scheme to the students.
Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal had said a decision will be taken by June 1.
On April 14, the CBSE had postponed the Class XII exams in view of the COVID pandemic.
New Delhi: At least 300 students of Class 12 on Tuesday (May 25) sent a letter petition to the Chief Justice of India (CJI) NV Ramana urging him to halt the decision of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to conduct the physical exams in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
This comes after a meeting chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday, where the CBSE Board suggested two options – first, to hold regular exams for only the major 19 subjects at notified centres. While the second option was to shorten the duration of the exam – to hold 90-minute exams at the school where students are enrolled.

IITs and top higher educational institutes have asked for vaccination of students to speed up their return to campus.
Several higher educational institutes in India, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) have said that vaccination of students and staff against coronavirus at the earliest is the way forward to ensure their safe return to the campuses.
As educational institutes have been shut for the past several months, most higher education institutions have been operating in a blended mode in view of the Covid-19 pandemic, while a few IITs have limited students staying on campus at present.
