In a recent development, the Ministry of Education is also considering to conduct Uttarakhand Board Examination on an alternate arrangement. The board examination for class 12 can be conducted by June.

New Delhi, May 25 : Delhi s ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday alleged that the city s Municipal Corporations have failed to provide text books for students enrolled in the schools they run.
AAP s MCD in-charge Durgesh Pathak, addressing a press conference, said the all three civic bodies, governed by the Bharatiya Janata Party, have not provided books to around 7 lakh students who study in the MCD schools.

CBSE Class 12 Board Exam Update: PM Modi chairs meeting; favours wider consultations
CBSE Class 12th News: Amid growing uncertainty over the CBSE Class 12 board exams, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting last week to discuss if it is conducive to conduct exams or an alternative should be worked upon to promote the students, sources told India TV.
During the meeting which took place on May 21, sources said that PM Modi insisted on wider consultations and setting up a Group of Ministers (GoM) to discuss the matter with states. He said that a decision should be taken while keeping the safety and security of children in mind and also their future prospects, sources said.
Modi had chaired a meeting on May 21 where the Union Education Ministry briefed him about the extensive consultations done with teachers and parents, and also informed him about the options at hand about the exams, government sources said.

The three-day programme starts today
On Tuesday, the University of Madras will launch a three-day training programme on offering psychological first aid (PFA).
The programme is open to students of affiliated colleges. The virtual event will be inaugurated by City Corporation Commissioner Gagandeep Singh Bedi.
“The course is aimed at frontline or essential workers and volunteers dealing with the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. You do not have to be a specialist to deliver PFA,” explained S. Thenmozhi, programme convener and head of the Department of Counselling Psychology. The programme will benefit healthcare and social-care staff, first responders, frontline public-sector staff, essential workers, volunteers, supervisors and managers.
