Image Source: IANS News Chandigarh, March 12 : Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday presented a deficit Budget of Rs 1.55 lakh crore for the financial year 2021-22 with no provision of tax. Presenting the Budget estimates in the Assembly here, Khattar, who also holds the finance portfolio, proposed a Budget of Rs 1,55,645 crore, an increase of 13 per cent over the previous fiscal s Budget of Rs 1,37,738 crore. Presenting his second Budget, the Chief Minister said that the Covid-19 pandemic has posed unprecedented challenges and taught us several lessons .

Petroleum Conservation Research Association to organise online competitions

Chandigarh, February 8 The “Petroleum Conservation Research Association” (PCRA), under the Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas is holding an online essay, painting and quiz competition for students of Class VII to class X across the country. On behalf of the Haryana School Shiksha Pariyojna Parishad instructions have been given to all District Education Officers, District Basic Education Officers, District Project Coordinator, Block Education Officer and Block Elementary Education Officers of the state to motivate maximum students of government and private schools under them to participate in the competition. Giving information in this regard, the spokesperson of the Parishad said that schools will have to register for these competitions named “Saksham” National Competition 2020-21 by March 10.

MRPL sets up vermi-composting unit for solid waste management

January 25, 2021 The chosen technology will convert nearly 90 tonnes per year of solid waste into 24 tonnes of fertilizer. Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) has set up a vermi-composting unit to handle solid waste in its campus effectively. The company’s press release said that MRPL, which is spread over a campus of 2,000 acres, generates a significant amount of solid waste, including leaves, cut grass, vegetable waste, etc. The company has chosen vermi-composting technology to convert nearly 90 tonnes per year of solid waste into 24 tonnes of fertilizer. This process helps MRPL manage its solid waste within the campus and provides good quality manure for more than 500 acres of green belt that it nurtures in the campus, it said.
