A nationwide initiative, Saksham 2021 will be held from January 16-February 15. The campaign, consisting of various programmes, is being organised by Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), Union Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas to sensitise people about conservation and efficient use of petroleum products for better health and environment. National oil marketing companies Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL), Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) and the country’s largest gas distribution company GAIL are supporting the programme.

Claimed to be the first such in Telangana, the project of Solika Energy will supply compressed biogas, in cylinders, to an Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) outlet in Attapur. Commercial sale at the outlet is expected to begin next month. The CBG plant was formally opened in the last week of December by Executive Director and State Head of IOC for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh RSS Rao along with International Egg Commission Chairman and Srinivasa Farms Group Managing Director Suresh Chitturi, a release on Thursday said.

MCF switches over to LNG as feedstock to produce urea Updated: Updated: The plant has been using naphtha as feedstock since its inception in 1976 Share Article The plant has been using naphtha as feedstock since its inception in 1976 Mangalore Chemicals and Fertilizers (MCF) Ltd., State’s only chemical fertilizer manufacturer, recorded a milestone on Tuesday after it completely switched over to Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as feedstock to produce urea, instead of naphtha. MCF has an installed capacity to produce 3.75 lakh tonnes of urea using naphtha as feedstock. Besides, it produces about 3 lakh tonnes of DAP and other agricultural inputs. It was using naphtha as feedstock since its inception in 1976.
